The Birth of Israel

The advocacy of the Political Zionism believed that the key for the success in terms of political solution for Herzl. He had a thought of using the diplomacy in getting the homeland of Jews. He arranged the transfer of the Jew communities to the new country. For Herzl, they should take whatever was given to them and selected through the opinions of the public. He also tried gaining the treaty of Turkey’s Sultan for establishing a Jewish government in Palestine, but the Empire of the Ottoman ruled over the treaty. In the year of 1898, Herzl met the Sultan and Wilhelm II, the German Kaiser, in Palestine and Istanbul. The meeting ended up to nothing. Herzl and the British conferred the possibilities for the Jews to settle on the Sinai Peninsula, Uganda, El Arish region and in the Island of Cyprus. After the pogroms of Kishinev in July of 1903, Herzl was in Russia to visit. He persuaded the Russian government to help the Zionists in transferring the Russian Jews to Palestine. He also tried to bargain, and pushed to settle the Jews to Uganda at the Congress of Sixth Zionist as an offer of temporary refuge from Britain. This idea was certainly opposed by the Jews of Russia. Although the congress agreed with the plan of Herzl, it was not seriously pushed through, and then withdrew the plan. Herzl has not stopped his quest there. He was serious then in searching for the solution in current politics. He even convened with the Italy King and the Pope. But unfortunately, they also opposed.

Controversial Message: Anti-Zionist rhetoric and signs were commonplace at a rally denouncing Israel’s efforts to draft the ultra-Orthodox. Will the views damage relations with mainstream Jewish groups, just as they ramp up efforts to address poverty among Hasidim?

During these times, the British government realized the need of maintaining Palestine’s huge military camp. It’s purpose was to impose the policy of the draconian immigration and to take action on the secretive moves of Jews to British. But then, this policy had not become popular. Instead, this pushed the Britain to announce the return of their mandate to the United Nation in February of 1947. The UNSCOP put up and authority to recommend solutions to the United Nation. If the USSR and United States favored of the Palestine partition, the Arabs did not agreed to it. The United Nations decided to vote for the Palestine and Jewish partition and for the States of Arab on 29th of November, 1947. But the Arabs were not satisfied about the UN’s decision.  The Arabs attacked the Jews, and thus began the riots in Jerusalem and destroyed the Jews’ transportation. The British permitted Fawzi El Kaukji army to back up in Palestine. During the war, the Jerusalem got obstructed. That’s why, on the 15th of May, 1948, Israel was founded, and those Arab countries that started the war were invaded instantaneously.
